A
teacher
Teaching profession is very different from other, its
lifelong learning profession in the world and requires multi-skills. Sitting in
manager chair rotating doesn’t meet expectation of young learners in the School.
In the eyes of public, teachers are well disciplined and respected, it’s just a
history in those years and now scenario is different. In the world of
technology, people expectation is so high from the teachers, expect their child
to perform well in every subjects but never realize intellectual capacity of
the child and the types of support they rendering. Usually every teachers are committed and
dedicated to service, carries bulky plans daily with appropriate teaching
materials, rarely uses chair placed in classroom instead busy monitoring and
supporting the learners. In order side, teachers are handicapped because of
words “exemplary & role model” even then proud to serve under comfortable
structure/shed.
When I recalled life in very remote school that I served
for eight years, it still pricks my heart and even dreams frequently. The
difficulties that I faced in every summer monsoon because it totally gets
disconnected and forget about communication facilities. I served lone for three
consecutive years but beauty things in remote is healthy life. Publics in
remote community are supportive and cooperative and has high degree of
trusteeship. They are real heroes and heroines for accepting change. “Teaching
is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber, and future of an
individual. If the people remember me as a good teacher, that will be the
biggest honor for me.” – A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Among the hard jobs around,
to be good teacher is hardest because we cannot fulfill every individual’s
expectations and wishes.
Oh! My fellow teachers and teachers that taught me
in the past, I salute your greatness service and enlightening the young future
citizen to be dynamic leaders. I too works with full potential to make
difference in children’s life with infusing variety of Bhutanese values. May 2nd
is a golden day every year, day to pay tribute to father of modern Bhutan
(third king) as His Majesty introduced modern education and that day also
observe as Teacher’s Day coinciding with the Birth Anniversary of 3rd King. Let
me take this privilege to wish HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY to all the teachers of our
country, GOD blessed you and wishes to continue making difference in our young
children. Our timeless effort is always credited with thousands of smiles which
will be success of being good teacher in entire life.
Thanks.
